This is a quilt that will be hanging on customer Irene's wall. She has very high ceiling and wanted something for hanging above her 24" x 64" mirror. I cannot wait to see it hanging! This was custom order to a specific size 50" x 64" and the colors needed to be as closely matched to her decor as possible. Enjoy your wall hanging Irene for many, many years!
Your granddaddy Bill wanted to surprise you with a special gift that would take you through the years. I was so pleased I was the one that he asked to work on this project. I was told you are a lover of art and literature so I decided to go with the art and create this colorful quilt for you. I am hoping that you feel the warmth of love that your Granddad Bill has for you. Enjoy and stay warm!
A Quilt for Megan's Wedding Shower ...There is nothing more rewarding than creating that something special for your daughter. This quilt pattern by Jane Miller was one of my most challenging projects. This quilt was made for my daughter Megan's Bridal Shower. Having a Fall wedding I was looking for colors that were reflective of the season. This Mary Englebright Quilt, pieced by Marianne was indeed one of the most fun quilts I have had the privilege of quilting. Every quilt is a work of art and this quilt was no exception, What a wonderfully beautiful pallet of color. Finding just the right design to add to the beauty of their creation can be such fun. In this beautiful quilt Pat was replicating a work that was done so very long ago. I chose to quilt with a leaves and apples. ( A Patricia Ritter Design Panto) After the quilting was complete, I returned it to Pat and with red thread she hand sewed in cherries and apples into the white squares. Wow such a wonderful touch. Pieced by friend Marianne, it was then given to me which I quilted on Valentine's Day. I could not think of a better way to share the gift of love with someone so in need. This was quilted with Ribbons of Love and with the hope that Maria gets that transplant and finds a total recovery. Melissa had a plan, a time frame and the seamstress and quilter chosen was me. I was so thrilled to be part of Melissa's dream quilt. After weeks of Melissa's meticulous information and picture gathering the project was truly underway. This was the final outcome. This Quilt spans four generations of both bride and groom's families from the 1800's to the present. I am sure that this will be a treasured memory for generations to come for both Susan an Luke. I also wish to extend my congrats to the bride and groom and also to wish them a lifetime of happiness. When I was first introduced to piecing a quilt I chose something easy, a panel and some simple blocks. When I realized this beautiful quilt was Holly's fist attempt at piecing I was truly impressed. Not only did Holly pick a complicated mix of blocks but she also added applique to the mix. Plus it is a super queen size. Wow! This is truly a magnificent job Holly, and you certainly should be very proud of your accomplishment. For the quilting Holly and I chose a trumpet flower panto to further enhance its beauty.JustSewPerfecthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16098226663601226025noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9116948856057648965.post-59054826501146492172011-01-25T18:17:00.000-05:002011-01-25T18:17:43.618-05:00Feeling Like Spring

Although this was pieced back in the Fall, I really needed to get past all winter hype and move onward into my Think Spring mode. So about 4 weeks before Christmas I started the layout. With the help of a friend and wonderful instructor, Jean www.quiltmasters.net I was able to construct a wonderful heirloom quilt for Megan that will surely give her pleasure throughout many years. I can tell you that even though I have been quilting for five years there is always room for more knowledge. The piecing and quilting are mine but Jean did give many helpful hints with the design factor. Every day with every craft is a new learning experience and thankfully this project put a huge smile on Megan's face this past Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas Megan and enjoy your warm treasure! That beautiful Sateen material was the fabric cut from the dress that Betsy wore that day July 31, 2010 as one of Shannon's Bridesmaids. From what I understand Shannon was just not so thrilled with the actual choice of the bridesmaids colors but from what I see here it was a wonderful color for both dress and now this lovely memorable quilt. For the quilting I gave Betsy many choices but this was both mine and Betsy's favorite. The snowflake hearts panto gave this quilt that romantic finish. Congrats Betsy for a fine job! I am sure Jim & Shannon will love their very special Christmas surprise. Thank you for choosing Just Sew Perfect Designs to finish your project of love.JustSewPerfecthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16098226663601226025noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9116948856057648965.post-80014920579790958412010-11-18T08:56:00.000-05:002010-11-18T08:56:40.220-05:00Liz's Quilt

This is a quilt top that a co-quilter buddy, Liz, pieced as a Christmas gift for her son and daughter-in-law. I love the colors and the pattern. I also was excited that she allowed me to add the finishing touch of the quilting. Great job Liz!JustSewPerfecthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16098226663601226025noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9116948856057648965.post-64004457254401457302010-10-22T15:19:00.000-04:002010-10-22T15:19:14.139-04:00Tote Bag
