Melissa's Memory Quilt

Melissa came to me with a wonderful idea....she wanted to have a Memory Quilt made for her sister, Susan and future brother- in- law Luke, which would be presented at their Wedding Rehearsal Dinner.  Melissa had a plan, a time frame and the seamstress and quilter chosen was me.  I was so thrilled to be part of Melissa's dream quilt. After weeks of Melissa's meticulous information and  picture gathering the project was truly underway. This was the final outcome. This Quilt spans four generations of both bride and groom's families from the 1800's to the present.  I am sure that this will be a treasured memory for generations to come for both Susan an Luke. I also wish to extend my congrats to the bride and groom and also to wish them a lifetime of happiness.  Enjoy your Memory Quilt!

Holly's Quilt

When I was first introduced to piecing a quilt I chose something easy, a panel and some simple blocks. When I realized this beautiful quilt was Holly's fist attempt at piecing I was truly impressed. Not only did Holly pick a complicated mix of blocks but she also added applique to the mix. Plus it is a super queen size. Wow! This is truly a magnificent job Holly, and you certainly should be very proud of your accomplishment. For the quilting Holly and I chose a trumpet flower panto to further enhance its beauty.

Feeling Like Spring

Tiring of snow and frigid temps I went to work this past Sunday quilting this wall hanging.
Although this was pieced back in the Fall, I really needed to get past all winter hype and move onward into my Think Spring mode.   All and all, this was a fun project and a special "thanks" to Kathy H. who had some input on this color scheme.  Come this next weekend "Handy Andy" will be adding this to our rec room wall.

This wonderful quilt top was pieced by one of quilting's newcomers Merlyn. I was excited to be selected to quilt this for Merlyn as this would be the largest quilt yet on my table.  Merlyn and I chose this wonderful panto which accented the beautiful flower design within the quilt top.Wow great job Merlyn!
Also thanks, to my hubby for taking the time to extend my table to 10' so that I can do these larger quilts.

Cold Winter Noses

Who said snow days can't be fun? This is a quilt that I pieced and quilted during each of our four snow storms.  I enjoy the days when I can do something for me. I will certainly enjoy snuggling under this fun quilt during the next snow storm!
